Batman Goes to the Movies

This past week, Grandpa George came to visit. And he brought costumes!

I'm not sure he could have known how much I would like these costumes. Here I am "zooming" around.

One day while Grandpa was here, he stayed with Logan and Mommy and I got to go out on a special Mommy-Quinn Movie Date! We went to see the Winnie the Pooh movie. It was my very first movie ever!

I loved everything about the movies. My favorite part was the popcorn.

I sat through the whole movie (luckily, it was only about an hour long) except for three trips to the potty. I didn't have to actually use the potty, I just felt like checking out the automatic paper towel dispenser a few times.

After the movie, we checked out the arcade.

Mommy says she'll be in trouble when I realize these machines actually take money.

Next we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A (I call it "Chicken for A"). I played in the kids' area before lunch.

And I even got chocolate milk! Mommy never lets me get chocolate, but I charmed her.

Mommy and I had a great special day out! And we had a great visit with Grandpa George!

Gone Fishin'

Last weekend, we took a trip up to Virginia and we stopped to to see Great-Uncle Paul and Great-Aunt Kim. They had a surprise for me, my very own fishing pole! I've been talking about going fishing for awhile, but I'd never been before.

While Daddy and Paul got the pole ready, I worked hard getting all the rocks back in the river where they belong. I'm pretty good at throwing rocks.

And Logan got to cuddle up with Kim.

Paul taught me how to cast.

Here's my first (and only) catch: river grass!

I even got a bird's-eye view of the river from the bridge.

On Sunday, we spent a lazy morning around their house.

We picked some apples

And we pet the horses. I liked them so much that on Monday, I had a doctor's appointment and I told the doctor all about their horses. I told her that they like to eat grass and that I fed them.

Meanwhile, Logan was inside talking to Kim. They had a pretty good conversation, I hear.

Then we had to drive back home. Logan and I did pretty well on the long ride, but we were all happy to get out of the car.

Thanks Paul and Kim for a lovely visit!

Roly Poly

Guess what I've been doing lately? Rolling over!

I've been doing it for awhile now and I'm getting pretty good at it. I'm also starting to hold my head up for longer and longer. I've got a pretty big noggin (for my big brains!) so it's hard work keeping it up!

A couple of weeks ago, Mommy and I did a photo shoot. Here are some of our best shots:

And yes, Quinn still loves being a big brother! He hugs me and kisses me and wants to play with me all the time. We're getting along pretty great so far!

A Mountain Fourth of July

This weekend, Grandma and Grandpa rented a cabin in the Georgia mountains

It was an awesome house right on the river.

On the first day, we took a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.

On the ride up, we got some great views of the river.

We got off the train just over the border in Tennessee. It was Logan's first trip out of state!
We looked around the little town and did some shoppting.

We celebrated Grandma's birthday and made her a cake.

On Sunday, Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Olivia, and Grandpa all went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River. Daddy said Grandpa was scared.

On the 4th of July, we went out on Lake Blue Ridge on a boat. I helped Grandpa drive the boat.
And I helped him navigate.

We found a nice cove and got out on the water. I called it "surfing."

After boating and naps, Logan and I got into our 4th of July spirit.

After dinner, I learned about s'mores!

Uncle Kevin and Aunt Olivia's dog, Mady, liked the s'mores too. I gave her some of my graham crackers.

But I kept the chocolate for myself.

Happy 4th of July!
