Writing and Shopping

Happy Tuesday!

My big brother is starting to write! I'm pretty sure he's a genius. At least he seems that way to me. He can read lots of words and spell them and now he's even writing them! He wrote "cat".

And "dog"

And he can write my name, too! (There are some other letters at the top that he didn't erase first, but my name's there at the bottom)

The genius hard at work. And yes, he's left-handed!

Another thing we're having fun doing is shopping at Park Mart! Mommy made us a little grocery store to play with and a friend gave us a cool shopping cart.

Quinn likes to fill up his cart and then head to the check-out stand.

And he's even got his wallet full of cash.

I put in some hours at Park Mart, too!

Clean up on Aisle 3!

Teddy Bear Picnic

Hi everyone! Sorry it's taken so long, but our computer's broken again. We managed to borrow one for a bit, though, so we can put up some pictures. Here's Logan with Daddy in their Virginia shirts.

Do their shirts look familiar? Remember when I was this little?
And another special shirt- this is a shirt from Great-Grandpa Park's butcher shop. This shirt is from way back when Daddy was as little as Logan!

We had a special day at preschool recently. We all got to bring our favorite teddy bear to school with us (I brought my favorite mommy with me, too). Then we read a story about teddy bears having a picnic. When we got back from the playground, all our teddy bears were missing! We had to go on a teddy bear hunt through the whole school to find our teddy bears. And guess what they were doing when we found them?! Having a picnic!

Here are some of my friends from preschool at the picnic (unfortunately I was sitting so close to Mommy, she couldn't take any pictures of me).

During our picnic, my teacher, Ms. Burn read us a story about going on a bear hunt.

We were all very intrigued by the story...

I was the leader of my class this day and that means I got to do all sorts of special things. I got to lead my friends to music class, I got to bring the snack, and during circle time I got to read all the days on the calendar. Here I got to choose a special way to shake our sillies out (usually we jump or clap)- I chose "like a banana" and Ms. Burn is trying to figure what I meant by that.
Thanks for reading about my special day at school!

Merry Christmas! (Part Two)

Our Christmas continued at Grandpa George's house. We had a chance to visit with Mommy's best friends from high school, Karen and Keri. Here's Logan with Lucy (Karen's daughter; she's just a bit younger than Logan).

I was showing off my little brother to everyone.

Here's Logan with Keri.

And with Karen.

Us bigger kids were mostly too busy to get in any pictures, but here I am playing with Roxie (Keri's two-year-old daughter)

And here's the whole group (minus the daddies). From left to right: Karen (holding Lucy), Keri (holding Roxie), Quinn, Ian (Keri's oldest), Mommy (holding Logan who was ready to go).

Later that day Uncle Brian and Aunt Susan came to Grandpa George's house and we got to share presents!

Logan got a zoo playset that Uncle Brian was nice enough to put together.

Logan had fun with his presents

But was just as happy with his shoe

And I enjoyed the packaging

And Grandpa seemed to like his picture of Logan

One of my favorite presents was this set of car tracks that stick to the wall. The cars go through all sorts of twists and turns and loops and shoot out the bottom. We had fun playing with these.

We spent the rest of our time hanging out at Grandpa George's and visiting with friends.

Then we got back in the car and drove all the way home. We drove late at night so Logan and I slept almost the whole way home and were nice and rested in the morning. Then we got to play with all our toys! Thank you everybody for all our presents. When Mommy asked what my favorite present was, I said, "All my cool stuff!"
