Halloween Fun

It's Halloween!
This year we both went as Spider-Man.  Quinn spends so many non-Halloween hours in his costume, it seemed the right costume choice for both of us.

Last Friday we got dressed up to go to the Fall Festival at our church. But first, a little photo shoot.

They had cool bouncy toys in the church gym. Quinn's favorite was the pirate ship.

My favorite was the little kids' area with an awesome slide. I spent about an hour climbing up, sliding down, climbing up, sliding down. I had a ball!

On Monday, we carved our pumpkins. I liked helping Daddy with the cutting part. But not the scooping out guts part.

Here I am and here's Quinn back when he was one!

For Quinn's pumpkin, he wanted a Spider-Man pumpkin. No surprise, there! Mommy made him a pretty cool one.

And today was finally Halloween! Quinn has been counting down the days. We dressed up again (plus some extra layers underneath- it got kind of cold!) to go trick-or-treating.

Quinn's smile got a little cheesy.

As always- monkey see...

monkey do!

We went trick-or-treating with our new neighbor, Rowan.

I figured out what to do pretty quickly. I even said "Thanks!" to most of the people. (My "thanks" sounds a lot like "Dee," but I'm still using my manners.)

Our friends the Flakes came, too. They dressed up as Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, and Wendy!

We all had fun!

Daddy let me have some candy...

Quinn hit a lot of houses, but finally got tired. We had a great night and now we have tons of candy to enjoy!

Happy Halloween!!

Rain, School, Soccer, Singing & Stone Mountain

Here are some pictures and videos from Mommy and Daddy's phones from the last few weeks.

It rained pretty hard awhile ago and we ran around in it for a bit.

Here I am singing "This Little Light of Mine"... with feeling.

Here's Logan at CMO- he's in the light blue on the right side of the table. Just hanging out with his friends and Ms. Anne, eating lunch.

And here he is at CMO on the playground. I think he has adjusted to "school" pretty well, don't you?

Here's me watching a video of one of my favorite songs, "Call Me Maybe"
Another season of soccer has started (it's actually half over already). I moved up to the Junior Micro division- it's the big time. Or not. Our team is called "The Mighty Hippopotamuses" and we're doing pretty well. I don't always feel like cooperating at practice or during games, so my performance is a little inconsistent. Oddly, I felt like cooperating on team picture day. Sort of.

Half of my team was out of town this week, but here are some of the Hippos and Coach Drew.

Today, my preschool class went on a field trip to Stone Mountain. Daddy came with us. We did a scavenger hunt and roasted marshmallows and climbed some rocks.

Here's my teacher, Ms. Taube. She found a praying mantis.

Here's my class!

Cousins!

Last week we drove up to Virginia to Grandma and Grandpa Steve's house.

We found plenty of time to monkey around in the basement.

And here's the guest of honor- our cousin Cormack! He's Uncle B and Aunt Elissha's son and they came to visit Grandma and Grandpa too.

We tried to get a picture of the three grandsons, but it didn't go so well.

Cormack's a pretty cool kid. We like him.

Later, we went to a pumpkin festival that had a ton of slides and rides and lots of fall fun stuff.

We even went on a haunted hayride.

And then back to more slides and rides.

This is Quinn steering a pirate ship.

Grandma helped me join the pirate crew.

But then Daddy made me walk the plank.

Back at the house, Grandpa taught me some card tricks.

And Daddy played with us outside.

On Saturday, we went to Burke Lake Park.

We fed the geese.

And ran around.

And saw a train.

And got tired.

Rode a carousel.

And rode the train.

And ate some ice cream!

Grandpa had to check my head for brain freeze.

Most of the pictures of Quinn looked like this- he just moves too fast!

On our drive back on Sunday, we stopped by Raleigh to see Uncle Kevin and Aunt Olivia. (Those are Quinn's new Where's Waldo glasses from a happy meal we got on the road.)

We had fun making a mess of their house.

And I helped Uncle Kevin and Daddy do a puzzle.

We really got into Mady's dog crate. It was "jail."

Quinn just saw these pictures and said "I love that cage. I wish we could get a cage." Guess what I'm getting him for Christmas?!
