Hamilton in the Heat

Last week, Mommy and I drove to Virginia to visit with Grandpa George. They say Atlanta is hot, but boy, was Hamilton hotter! It didn't bother me much because I had so many things places to explore at Grandpa's house. Here we are in the garden...

Grandpa had a tent for me to play with. It was awesome.

I liked visiting with the fish in the fish pond. And I never even fell in.

One day, we went to the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum.

They had a ton of planes. I call planes "tee," because they look like the letter t.

I liked checking out the computer stations where you could see the cockpits of different planes.

Sometimes when Mommy and Grandpa weren't doing what I wanted, I had to put my foot down. And the rest of my body. Usually accompanied by a few "no's!"

We went up in the observation tower where you could see planes coming in to land at Dulles Airport. I was more interested in my cars.

Later that day, I went to the playground with Grandpa

And I ate some delicious spaghetti. I find the fork is more for decoration, really

On Friday, Mommy and I met up with Ms. Keri and her kids in D.C.

We went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. There were lots of exhibits, but mostly I ran around.

Here I am with Baby Roxie and Ian around a Neanderthal campfire exhibit.

And here I am tickling Baby Roxie.

Ian and I were checking out an exhibit with fossils.

We found a discovery room for kids just my age. They had all sorts of science tools we could use.

My favorite were the binoculars.

Here's our attempt at a group shot:

We had a great time in Virginia and I loved visiting with everyone. I didn't even mind the drive back (much) and I was happy to get home to see Daddy, the cats, and my toys.
Keep cool!

Cleaning Up

Hi everyone!
We haven't been up to anything very exciting lately, so there haven't been many pictures to share. Just a lot of playgrounds, trucks, and trains. Today we went blueberry picking with my friend Art and his mommy. I didn't get into the picking much, but I did a lot of eating! Mommy forgot her camera, so we took pictures of today's bath instead so we'd have something to share.

I gave my farm animals a bath, too. Here's the pig-

And here's the donkey-

Daddy came home during my bath, here's how happy I was to see him!

Hope everyone's staying cool- talk to you soon!

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July, everyone!!
We've been pretty busy celebrating this week-
On Thursday, Mommy and I did some patriotic sponge painting. I did the stripes, Mommy did the stars.

On Friday, we had a barbecue with our friends, the Burns, at their neighborhood pool. I had fun swimming, but I really had fun playing with the big kids in the sand volleyball pit. I helped by carrying buckets of water back and forth.

On Saturday, we went hiking at Stone Mountain.

I started out walking, but I ended up riding in Daddy's backpack. He needed help reading the map.

I liked finding the white trail markers on the trees and the rocks.

And of course, we found a playground. Whenever I see one, I say, "park!" until I convince Mommy and Daddy to let me play on it.

Today my friend Art came over to play and we went out to lunch.

This evening we went downtown for a picnic. They had a concert of patriotic music. I danced a little and wandered around.

We didn't quite make it to the fireworks- it's still a little past my bedtime. Maybe next year I'll see what all the fuss is about!
Happy 4th of July!!

The Stairs: A Photo Essay

Today while Mommy was getting dressed, I found her camera. I thought I would spend some time getting some good pictures of the stairs. They really are an interesting subject. I'm thinking of becoming a photographer. Here are some of my best shots:
