Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Last week, I had a Thanksgiving program at my preschool. We practiced all sorts of Thanksgiving songs and sang them for our parents. Mommy, Daddy and Logan watched me perform, but our camera didn't have batteries. Another mommy promised to give us a copy of the program, so I'll post it as soon as we get it. I sang really loudly at the practice, but at the actual program I didn't feel much like singing. I stood there nicely, though.

Here are some pictures from Mommy's phone:

After the show, we went back to my classroom for a little party. Here's my "Chief Quinn" headdress.

And here's some of my fall artwork

Look! I'm starting to write my name!

And here's our class thankful turkey.

Logan and I are thankful for our wonderful family and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Road Trip

I should be in bed now, so I'll make this short and sweet!
We went to South Carolina this weekend to visit Great-Aunt Debi and her family.

Quinn tried to use the elliptical machine

We walked around downtown Charleston

Quinn was excited to visit the Battery since he was promised he'd see big guns.

He used his imagination to be a soldier picking up a cannonball...

carrying it over to the cannon...

putting it in the cannon and then BOOM!

I had a pretty good view of everything going on

And I just had to give Quinn a little squeeze every now and then.

We spent some time watching the water

And we saw a cool pineapple fountain where we threw some coins

Then we visited with Harvey and Christine, Great-Grandma Joy's friends.

Here we are with Baby Owen (Debi's grandson, Cousin Julia & Rob's son). Quinn was here, too, but he felt like being a little shy.

Later we went to dinner at Owen's house.

And here are all of Great-Grandma Joy's great-grandkids so far! Too bad we didn't look in the same direction at the same time.

One of Quinn's favorite activities was checking out Debi's backyard.

He used these flashlights for hide and seek

Great-Uncle Mike helped him out

Here they are hiding (and seeking)

Preschool Progress

I've been in preschool now for over two months, and boy have I learned a lot!

Mommy and Daddy had a conference with my teacher and she told them about everything I'm doing at school. She said I have really matured since the beginning of school. I'm learning to keep my hands to myself, I'm learning to help clean up (and I am very careful to put everything back exactly where it goes), and I can focus for longer and longer periods of time.  I'll even sit and do my artwork for longer. Overall, she happens to think I'm a pretty awesome kid!

Here's some of my artwork:

Mrs. Burn was very proud to tell Mommy and Daddy that I can read most of my friends' names!

I'm learning a lot at home, too. I can read and spell lots of words now. Here are all the words I can recognize:
Quinn
go
no
boo
zoo
moo
Buzz
up

And thanks to my computer games:
play
exit

If you ask me to spell "we," I know it's spelled "Wii"

I sing the alphabet song all the time now (even though sometimes L M N O  sounds more like "Elmo") and I even know what sound most of the letters make. I ask how to spell all kinds of words and I can usually guess what the first letter is.

Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa were passing through Atlanta and they hung out for the weekend.

I got tickled a lot while Grandpa was in town.

They brought a Care Bears movie for me and Mommy brought out her old Care Bear that I have since taken to carrying around, sleeping with, and reading to. Today I even said "I think my bear wants to play golf." (In an effort to get Daddy to play golf with me.)

And just for the heck of it (and because all the pictures of me are blurry since I never stop moving), here are some pictures of Logan taking a bath.
