I'm Five!

I'm five! I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I knew exactly what I wanted for my birthday. First, I wanted to go to the Braves game.
This weekend we did go and it was awesome!

We checked out the kids' area first and played around.

We got to our seats (it was hot!)

and checked out our awesome view.

Daddy taught me how to do the tomahawk chop.

Then it rained and we switched seats. We got to practice the tomahawk chop a lot- the Braves won! Look at Logan chopping away!

After the game, we got to do something really special. All the kids who wanted to got to run the bases on the actual field!!  We waited patiently (ha!) for a long time in a really long line and we went into the tunnels under the seats...

And out onto the field...

We walked where the real baseball players walked

and I played in the dirt they play in

Here I am in front of the Braves' dugout.

Then I got to run! (I know this video isn't great, but that's really me out there!)

Boy was I proud of myself! I said, "Did I run so fast?" To top it all off, I got a certificate and a t-shirt!

Go Braves!

Then came my actual birthday. I had specifically requested that Mommy and Daddy wake up early and surprise me. They sure did!

And I got to open some presents with my breakfast. Packages had been arriving all week and I couldn't wait to rip into them. I went shopping with Mommy at the party store and decided I wanted a Monsters University party. It's a movie I haven't even seen yet, but is already my favorite movie ever.

I also requested a special t-shirt.

This week I have camp at preschool (Thanks, Grandpa George for sending me to camp!! I'm having a great time!). Mommy and Logan came to lunch and brought cupcakes. I got to pass out the cupcakes and everyone sang to me.

After camp, we got to go to the aquarium with my friend Owen (two more birthday requests).

We all loved it! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa for the membership!!

After the aquarium, we got dinner and came home to open the rest of my presents. Logan and Owen helped me open them all and oohed and aahed over all my cool new stuff. I got lots of books, a baseball glove, Star Wars toys, roller skates, a couple of movies, and then this beauty was waiting in the garage:

And back to more cupcakes for dessert!

The next day, Daddy helped me ride my new big boy bike.

Since I had a balance bike, I didn't even need training wheels!

And off I went!

I might need some more practice, but I'm officially a bike rider!

Thank you to everyone for your special cards and presents- I had a wonderful birthday!! And I think it's going to be a pretty awesome year!!
