My Very First Camping Trip

This week was my Spring Break from preschool so one day we went up to the North Georgia mountains for some special fun. Mommy, Daddy, Logan and I went to Amicalola Falls (try saying that five times fast) for some hiking.

Logan had a pretty sweet seat.

The falls were pretty cool- they're the tallest in the Southeast!

I was mildly impressed.

We had a lot of fun hiking. It was a beautiful day, too. Until it rained.

After the hike we stopped for a picnic lunch.

Then we checked out the view from the top of the falls.

After the hike, Mommy and Logan went home, but Daddy and I went to a nearby state park to camp overnight.  It was drizzling for most of the afternoon, so we played games in our tent.  Here I am in my sleeping bag.

It cleared up long enough that evening for Daddy to make a campfire and cook us dinner over the fire.  We had s'mores for dessert  - I got to toast the marshmallows all by myself.  The next day, we woke up early, did some more hiking and then drove back to Atlanta.  Daddy doesn't take many pictures, so we don't have any pictures outside of the tent.  I had a great time though and told Daddy I want to go camping again!

Love,
Quinn

Easter Egg Hunting and More

As Easter approaches, I've been very busy hunting for these darn Easter Eggs. I had a hunt at school on Friday, then the town egg hunt on Saturday and then another one at church on Sunday. So many eggs, so little time!

We only have pictures from the Decatur Egg Hunt, but you can imagine how the others went. Pretty much the same.

Here we are before the hunt getting a good spot
When the hunt started, everybody else went for the eggs. I raced back to Mommy to tell her I saw my friend Katherine.

Logan watched the hunt from the safety of the stroller.

 And I cleaned up!

After the hunt there were lots of games and bouncy houses.

And as usual I was not really into seeing the Easter Bunny.

We looked pretty good in our bunny ears, though.

In non-egg hunt news, Logan got a bike helmet for his birthday so he could finally ride in our bike trailer.

He wasn't too excited about it.

Once we got moving, he loved it!

Can you believe this sweet face would ever get into any trouble?

But he does! He has discovered the joys of toilet paper unrolling.

And he helps himself to his favorite snack in the pantry

He also takes all the cereal bars out of their boxes and squishes them. Not cool.

The best times are when we're having fun together!

My First Soccer Game

I had my first soccer practice and game on Saturday. Grandpa Steve and Grandma Pam took me and they took this video. I had a great time and I think I might be starting to understand this whole soccer thing. It sure is fun, anyway! (By the way, in the video, I'm the blond one with the shirt down to my knees.)

More Birthday!

Yesterday I got to wear the special "My First Birthday" shirt and open my presents. Thanks to everyone who sent special presents to me! (And to Quinn! He was very happy to celebrate one year of being a big brother.)

Happy Birthday!

It's my birthday!

This morning, I had a birthday muffin with a candle and a birthday song to go with it.

Quinn (with a new Spider-Man mask, thank you Grandpa George) helped me blow out my candle.

Can you believe I'm one year old? Look how much I've grown!
