Virginia is for Quinn (Part 1)

At the end of July, I went to visit my grandparents ALL BY MYSELF. I know, I'm a big kid. It's cool. So here are the pictures from it and the exact words I dictated to Mommy.  First I went to Hamilton to see Grandpa George.

That's when I was shooting. Those are the surprises he gave me.

I was playing baseball.

That's when Uncle Brian was catching the ball.

That's when I hit it.

That's when we were blowing bubbles. We were making it bigger.

That's when we were at the park.

We were there with Emma. That's her in the green.

That's when I was on the zap thing. That little zap thing- it goes to the other side. [zip line]

That's when we went to Dinosaur Land.

That's the shark we can go in side. You see me right there?

And that's when we went to the other side. That's the stegosaurus I found.

And those are the t-rexes I found.

And one fell down.

That's triceratops.

That's when I got on that big tractor. That's when we were at the fair with Uncle Brian and Susan.

That's when I was driving it.

And that's where we got the popcorn.

That's Uncle Brian playing games with me.

And that's Susan in the car.

And that's Uncle Brian in there.

And that's when we went to go on the camel.

And that's me riding with the little girl.

The camel went slow.

And those are the cars I went on.

And those are the sad cars I went on. [??] Those are the bumper cars I wanted to drive.

He had to drive it because the man said I was too small. We hit other cars.

There's me on the carousel. I mean the Ferris wheel.

I wasn't scared.

We saw the whole world. We saw our house, too. We could see Owen's new house, too.

That's when I went on the circle car. That's when I drove it. I drove the McDonald's car.

When it got to the corner we went very fast.

That's where I got my shark. The lady got it for me up there.

And that's the fun house I went on. It was fun.

That was there still.

I had a good time at Grandpa George's house.

A Look Back...

So I've been four years old for a couple of months now, but here's a look back at this past year.

Catching Up

Sorry we haven't blogged lately, we've been too busy having fun! So here are some pictures from the past month.

Quinn went to a week of Cowboy Camp at his preschool and he insisted on dressing the part.
When the weather gets too hot to go outside, we stay inside and hang out. Quinn and Daddy like doing big puzzles.

We've spent a lot of time at the pool. We don't really have any pictures because Mommy's hands are pretty full with both of us running around. Quinn's getting really good at swimming. He likes putting his face underwater now, too. It's usually in about 12 inches of water, but it's definitely progress!

On the 4th of July, Grandpa George came to visit. We made some patriotic desserts.

And we headed to our friend Eva's house to celebrate. We stayed up reeeeeeaally late and got to see fireworks from their rooftop deck.

The next day we took Grandpa George to the Children's Museum. (Mommy would like you to know that Daddy dressed me this day.)

The other day Quinn tripped on the sidewalk and used his face to catch himself. He's looking a little rough.

Quinn had a lollipop for dessert and I was pretty jealous.

Here I am ready to share.

He didn't give me the whole lollipop.

But I got over it.

Hope everyone else is having a great summer, too!

Summer Days

This summer sure is fun! So far I've done swim lessons (that's me in the water with my teacher)

That's me floating on my back:

And that's me showing off my kicking skills

And here I am jumping in the water by myself!

I also went to Vacation Bible School at our church. The theme was Operation Overboard and my favorite song I learned was "Yellow Submarine."

Friday was the Decatur Beach Party where they bring in tons of sand for us kids to play with and have all sorts of games.

Logan got into some of the games

And then he really GOT INTO the game.

Mommy was way better at hula hooping, but I gave it a shot.

Then we had Father's Day- here I am helping Daddy open his present. It was a gift certificate for beer. Always a winner.

We've spent a lot of time at playgrounds

And on playdates

And just running errands with Mommy. This cart looks pretty full and we hadn't even started shopping!

And the rest of the time we spend just hanging out with each other.
